Matthew Hoopengardner joined Blue Sky Design Build as co-owner in 2011. Since then, Matt has helped to build and grow the company. Prior to joining BSDB, he worked as a furniture builder, installer, carpenter, and welder.
Matt is a legend in the local rock scene, spanning almost two decades as lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter for longtime Austin favorites, The Golden Boys. He currently enjoys writing and performing with weirdo-experimental band Aüstí!.
Jessie Temple works as an independent architect. She also has served as BSDB’s in-house designer since 2014. She also is a sculptor, painter, and musician.
Kyle Giddens has been with us since 2015. He studied timber framing and historic preservation prior to joining our crew. He also plays drums for local cosmic country group, Tejas Nights.
Bryan worked independently and with Moontower Design and Build before joining our crew in 2017. He brings over 20 years of furniture and residential carpentry skills, and a lifetime of musical virtuosity.
Colin Swietek started working with BSDB in 2016. He worked independently as a carpenter and tiler prior. Another virtuoso musician, Colin has played with more bands than there’s space to mention here. He is the songwriter, singer, and guitarist for Austin’s Apopka.
